I first picked up a “real” digital camera in 2009. I tinkered with it a bit but never really understood how it worked. I finally got serious and took a crash course in photography at Spot Studio in Dallas (now called the Dallas Center for Photography) in 2014 prior to my honeymoon- a two-week safari in the Sabi Sands region of South Africa. The incredible experiences of that trip ignited my passion for photography and, from there, I couldn’t get enough education and experience. Over the next ten years, I was fortunate to have opportunities to learn from some of the best in the industry including Lindsay Adler, Austen Paul, Amy & Jordan Demos, Katelyn James and Jaison Sterling. I initially built my hobby into a successful commercial photography business (check me out at rachelbellcreative.com!) and now, with a pivot into the world of sports, I have returned to portraiture in a new and exciting way!
I love the creativity and versatility that sports portraits (or “Sportraits”, get it?) bring and my ability to bring out the athlete’s unique personality in their images. I’d love to talk to you about your vision and what I can create for your athlete and their team!
